Born in 1983, I was a young musician growing up in Heijen, a little village in The Netherlands. At the age of 6, I went to a ‘music preparation course’ and two years later I got an electric organ. I learned how to play the guitar in high school and at the age of 18 I picked up the bass and realised: this is my instrument!
After high school, I went to study at the Conservatory in Arnhem (NL). In 2005 I got my bachelor’s degree: Bachelor of Music in Education. Because I was still drawn to the bass, I went to study at the Rockacademie in Tilburg (NL). I successfully finished my study there in 2009, graduating as a bass player and sound engineer.
